Many goods imported from China into the USA are subject to additional Section 301 tariffs, ranging from 7.5% to 25% or higher depending on the HS code. These are in addition to standard US MFN duty rates. Before booking your shipment, it is important to understand your product's HS classification and applicable tariff rate.
AGLog Cargo can advise on tariff classification and connect you with our US customs broker partners for formal binding rulings if required. Contact our team to discuss your specific product.
From South China (Yantian, Shekou, Hong Kong) to Los Angeles: approximately 14–18 days vessel transit. To New York via Panama Canal: 25–30 days. LCL shipments add 5–7 days for consolidation and deconsolidation at each end. These are vessel transit times and do not include inland trucking or customs clearance at destination.
For shipments under 15 CBM, LCL sea freight is typically the most cost-effective option. For shipments above 15–20 CBM, a full FCL container usually becomes cheaper per unit. Air freight costs 4–6x more per kg than sea freight but arrives in 3–5 days vs. 3–4 weeks. The cheapest option depends on your volume, weight, and time sensitivity.
We ship to all major US ports including Los Angeles, Long Beach, New York/New Jersey (Port Newark), Seattle (Tacoma), Savannah, Houston, and Miami. We also arrange inland trucking to any US zip code from the port of entry via our US drayage and trucking partners.

AGLog Cargo coordinates ISF filing through our licensed US customs broker partners as a standard part of the any origin-to-USA sea freight service.
