Share a container with other shippers. Cost-effective sea freight for shipments from 1 CBM to 15 CBM, consolidated weekly from Hong Kong to all major global ports.
LCL — Less than Container Load — means your cargo shares space inside a 20' or 40' container with other shippers' goods. You pay only for the cubic metres (CBM) your cargo actually occupies. No wasted space, no overpaying for a full box you don't need.
AGLog Cargo consolidates LCL cargo at our Hong Kong CFS (Container Freight Station) and ships weekly on scheduled services to all major trade lanes. Your cargo is handled securely, tracked throughout, and deconsolidated at the destination CFS before onward delivery.

Your cargo is received at our Hong Kong CFS, measured, weighed, and loaded alongside other shippers.
The sealed container sails on a scheduled weekly service. You receive a Bill of Lading and tracking updates.
At destination, cargo is deconsolidated at the destination CFS, cleared through customs, and delivered to your door.
LCL (Less than Container Load) is a sea freight method where multiple shippers share space inside one container. Each shipper pays only for the cubic metres (CBM) their cargo occupies. It is the most cost-effective option for shipments that are too large for courier but too small to justify a full container — typically under 12–15 CBM.
There is no formal minimum — even 0.1 CBM can be shipped LCL. However, for very small shipments under 0.3 CBM, express courier or air freight may be faster and similarly priced. LCL becomes most cost-effective from around 1 CBM upwards.
LCL transit times include vessel sailing time plus 5–7 days at each end for consolidation and deconsolidation (CFS handling). Approximate totals from HK: USA West Coast 22–30 days, Europe 30–40 days, Australia 20–28 days, Middle East 20–25 days. Door-to-door adds pickup and destination delivery time.
LCL sea freight is priced per CBM (cubic metre), subject to a weight-to-volume ratio of 1 tonne = 1 CBM. If your cargo is dense (e.g. 2 tonnes in 1 CBM), you are charged for 2 CBM. The rate per CBM varies by destination. AGLog Cargo provides all-inclusive quotes covering origin CFS, ocean freight, and destination CFS charges.
CFS stands for Container Freight Station — a facility where LCL cargo from multiple shippers is consolidated into a shared container at origin, and deconsolidated at destination. AGLog Cargo operates a CFS in Hong Kong and uses partner CFS facilities at destination ports worldwide.
LCL is typically cheaper for shipments under 12–15 CBM. Above that threshold, a 20' FCL (which holds ~25–28 CBM) often becomes more cost-effective per CBM. LCL also has longer transit times due to CFS handling at both ends. If speed matters and your cargo is over 10 CBM, ask us to quote both options so you can compare.
